Southland Hispanic Leadership Council looks forward to bringing a better quality of life to the Hispanics
and other under-served members of the Southland in areas of Health, Education and Housing.

SHLC serves the South Suburban Community north to Calumet Park, south to University Park,
east to Lansing, and west to Orland Park.

Southland Hispanic Leadership Council...

Provides a forum for local South Suburban communities to discuss needs and related activities
that are locally driven and controlled.

Works with member agencies to provide culturally appropriate training and services.

Assists member agencies in closing the gap in services for the Hispanic community.

Annual Events Include:

Back-To-School/Outreach Event
In 2007, at the Back-To-School Health Fair, over 2,000 children received back-to-school supplies. The outreach event also provided school physicals, immunizations, and dental and eye examinations for 371 South Suburban community children.
